(2020)This collection is inspired specifically from the letter my mother sent to her mom (my grandmother) in Thailand . The six page letter details my mom’s journey from Vietnam to Thailand, and eventually America.
Sign me away can be interpreted in many different ways. In english it can mean signing yourself (or the letter) away to someone or something, and in Vietnamese mẹ means mother. Sign me away is the story of my mom coming to America, leaving behind her mother and everything she knew at 19.

Sign me away is a collection that is very personal to me and my family. It recounts the story of my mother and how she bravely came to America.
